You'll find yourself facing a wild beach in a protected natural landscape, separated from the mainland by the "Ria Formosa," which originates at the Cacela peninsula, at the foot of the historic village of "Cacela Velha." To reach the open beach, be mindful of the tides or take one of the boats that ferry to the sands.
